Your employer applies — ahead of the cohort start

Your company (not you) submits the Express Grant application to Commonwealth Corporation, the state agency that administers the fund. Because training can only begin after the grant is awarded, the sooner this starts, the better — so raise it now rather than the week before the cohort kicks off.

Eligibility, reimbursement percentages, and award decisions are determined solely by Commonwealth Corporation, the Massachusetts agency that administers the Workforce Training Fund Program. Grants must be applied for and awarded before training begins; funds are capped at $15,000 per company per year and $3,000 per employee per course.
